Western Slope

In mid-2020, Xtract Environmental Services opened our second location on the Western Slope of Colorado. Since then, the Grand Junction area has served as the main hub of our operations for this region. At that time, our two ambitious founders eagerly welcomed a third partner, Justin Sutherland, who shared the same dream and vision to grow our Western Colorado Division. With determination and dedication, we have proudly grown to a team of 10+ operating from this location. With the main office located in Grand Junction we are able to serve a wide area. This region includes but is not limited to Grand Junction, Fruita, Clifton, Palisade, Delta, Montrose, Telluride, Rifle, Glenwood Springs, Aspen, Eagle, and Vail. We focus on creating and maintaining quality relationships with our team, customers, and our referral partners. With our dedication to developing reciprocal relationships, we continue to build an outstanding reputation, distinguishing us as the number one abatement company in Western Colorado. It is our mission to hire employees that value transparency, integrity, and commitment to their craft and our customers. Our goal is to hire entry level employees so that we can foster growth and discover their unique strengths. To create a positive company culture, our focus has been to maintain mutual respect, consistent training, and safety within the work environment. It is vital to us that we provide excellent service on each job and to each customer, so we have developed procedures and training documents that ensure that all of our employees are well prepared for each task. Ultimately, our success is founded upon our people and our relationships.

Giving Back

Giving back is one of the most important values we have at Xtract. We respect and appreciate our communities beyond words. They trust us to provide peace of mind and safety for them which has allowed us to see and experience success as a company. Without that support, we would not be where we are today. That’s why it is crucial for us to reciprocate that support by donating to a local nonprofit organization. As a company, we made the decision to donate a specified amount per completed project to The Center for Children, which serves all of Western Colorado. To familiarize yourself with this amazing organization, feel free to access their website at https://www.centerforchildrencac.org/19680.

The mission of this outstanding organization is to provide advocacy, on-site mental health services, ensure legally sound interviews and proper forensic examinations, facilitate education and community referrals, and provide safe harbor for children and families beginning their recovery from sexual and physical abuse. We are so thankful that we are able to give back to our community in a small way, and we are dedicated to increasing our charitable contributions. With our continued growth, we know that we will be able to increase our contributions both monetarily and to a greater number of incredible organizations.
Our gratitude goes out to our team and customers for allowing us to obtain our goal of giving back and playing a role in supporting quality non-profits within the community.

It is also extremely important to us to give back to our customers. To do this, we offer a complimentary duct cleaning to all customers with a completed project totaling $2,000 or greater. All you need to do to redeem this offer is to request it!

What You Can Expect

When you are ready to contact us about your question or job, your first call will be answered by our friendly office staff. They will be ready to assist you to the best of their abilities, answer questions, and gather all of the pertinent information, including the general details of the job and your personal contact information. They will work with your schedule to set up your FREE consultation. Once they have collected all of the important information, they will send an email to reiterate the details that you discussed with them, confirm the date and time of the consultation, and ask you to provide any documents or reports that you currently have (i.e. a sampling or inspection report).

Before our project manager arrives on site for your consultation, they will be sure to call ahead and inform you that they are on their way. Once on site, they will give you one of their business cards for transparency and further questions if you have them. They have two primary goals while on site for this initial consultation: 1. to completely and thoroughly explain our process of asbestos mitigation, 2. to obtain an in-depth scope of work, both written (via iPad) and visual (pictures of each area of work). It is their goal to leave this meeting with your complete satisfaction and understanding, meaning they will spend as much time as you have and need to feel comfortable with our process and the next steps.

Following this visit, our team will write a complete, detailed estimate. This estimate will include permitting fees, waste handling and disposal fees, final inspection costs, materials, labor, etc. It will be an all-inclusive estimate, unless we have been directed otherwise by you. The estimate will be delivered to you via email within 48 hours of the first consultation.

After you have looked over the estimate and agreed to our services, we will work with you to schedule the completion of the project. We will also send you the pertinent documents that will need to be completed for us to pull permits for the work (with the state of Colorado) as well as the work authorization contract. The documents will be sent through Docusign so that you can quickly and easily sign. Once the documents are completed, we can submit the permit application. There is an eleven business day processing period for most projects due to state regulations. However, in the case of emergencies, that time period can be minimized to just a few days.

Once the permit is valid and all other details have been finalized, we will commence the project on the date we have discussed with you. You will receive a call from our office to confirm that the start date. Again, our project manager will call the morning of the start date to let you know that the crew is headed to your job site. Once the crew arrives on site, they will park our trailer in a location that is most effective for you. The supervisor or project manager will review the scope of work with you to ensure that all work is completed appropriately. Then the crew will be able to get started! Upon completion of the work, we will have a visual inspection and air clearance performed by a third party, state certified inspector. Our equipment and containment can be removed once we have passed these inspections. Finally, you will receive an inspection report and invoice within 48 hours of the job completion.

The operations occurring on the Western Slope out of our Grand Junction office are organized and managed by Justin Sutherland.
