In mid-2020, Xtract Environmental Services opened our second Colorado location on the Western Slope. Since then, Grand Junction has served as the main hub of our environmental cleanup operations for this region, handling mold, asbestos, lead, and meth lab cleanup there and across the wider region.
At that time, our two ambitious founders welcomed a third partner, Justin Sutherland, who shared the same dream and vision to grow our Western Colorado Division. With determination and dedication, we have proudly grown to a team of 10+ operating from this location, serving communities in Fruita, Clifton, Palisade, Delta, Montrose, Telluride, Rifle, Glenwood Springs, Aspen, Eagle, and Vail.

Giving back is one of the most important values we have at Xtract. We respect and appreciate the communities we serve communities beyond words. They trust us to provide peace of mind and safety, which has in turn allowed us to see and experience success as a company.
Without that support, we would not be where we are. That’s why we give back by donating to local nonprofit organizations in the regions we serve.
In Western Colorado, we made the decision to donate a specified amount per completed project to The Center for Children, which serves all of Western Colorado. This organization provides advocacy, safe harbor, and a range of services for children and families recovering from abuse.
We are so thankful that we are able to give back to our community in a small way, and we also give back to our customers: we offer a complimentary duct cleaning to all customers with a completed project totaling $2,000 or greater.

How We Work
When you contact us with a question or job request, we’ll first gather all of the pertinent information,
Then, we will schedule your free consultation. You’ll get a confirmation email to reiterate the details and ask for any documents or reports (i.e. a sampling or inspection report) that we’ll need before we show up on-site.
Before our project manager arrives, they will call to give you a heads up, and once on site, they will give you one of their business cards for further questions if you have them.
Following this visit, our team will write a complete, detailed estimate. This estimate will include permitting fees, waste handling and disposal fees, final inspection costs, materials, labor, etc. The estimate will be delivered to you via email within 48 hours of the first consultation.
From there, we’ll let you know the timeline and other relevant details to get your property cleaned up and ready to safely use again!
Scheduling & Finalizing Your Project
After you have looked over the estimate and agreed to our services, we will schedule your project out and send you the pertinent documents that will need to be completed to pull permits for the work (with the state of Colorado) as well as the work authorization contract.
Once the documents are completed, we submit the permit application. State regulation imparts a processing period of about eleven business days for most projects; however, in the case of emergencies, that time period can be minimized to just a few days.
Once the permit is valid and all other details have been finalized, we will commence the project on the date we have discussed with you. Your Project Manager will be in touch with you from the first day of the project to the last. Upon completion of the work, we will have a visual inspection and air clearance performed by a third party, state certified inspector.
After we clean up the site, you will receive an inspection report and invoice within 48 hours of the job completion.
